Ray Ledbetter

Service for Ray Ledbetter, 94, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:30 P.M., Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Charles E. Payne and Reverend Donald Lloyd Ledbetter will officiate. Burial will be in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Austin Fox, Tyler Fox, Joel Perkins, Jake Talley, Matt Ledbetter and J.R. Ledbetter. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Thetford, Isaac Morales, Matt Taylor, Jim Bob Ledbetter, Brandon Trussell, Joby Ledbetter and Joel Zuniga. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Ledbetter passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 in Cleburne. He was born January 24, 1918 in Johnson County to William A. and Maude Barrett Ledbetter. He married Dora Mae Hudson on April 16, 1938 in Cleburne. She preceded him in death on Jan. 15, 1980. He then married Johnnie Mae Stephens White on Nov. 27, 1980 in Cleburne. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2012.

Mr. Ledbetter was a retired carman with 40 years service for the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of Cleburne Masonic Lodge No. 315 and Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Robert Earl Ledbetter and wife Marilyn; and daughter, Gwendolyn Ledbetter Ford and husband, Gene all of Cleburne; 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by two sons, Ramon Ledbetter and Jackie Ray Ledbetter, eight brothers and sisters, one grandson, Michael Ledbetter, and two great grandchildren, Amber Ledbetter and Jeremy Don Ford.
