Ray Tarver

Mass of Christian Burial for Ray Tarver, 88, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in St. Ann Catholic Church, 100 S.W. Alsbury Blvd., Burleson, TX 76028. Reverend Reehan Soosai Antony will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. A visitation will be held at 6:00 P.M., Monday, June 19, 2023 with a Rosary to follow in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Tarver, Austin Tarver, Alec Tarver, Joshua Quinones, Christopher Hedges, and Tommy Engle.

Ray passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 in Burleson. He was born November 18, 1934 in Glen Rose to Claude and Cristina (Ramfield) Tarver. Ray was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He married Elizabeth Ann Palermo on September 12, 1992 in Cleburne. Ray was a driven and hardworking man who owned and operated Tarver Fashion Carpet for 58 years. He was a quiet and kind man who was extremely generous, and family centered. Ray was competitive, athletic, and an avid sports fan. He played baseball and football and loved to golf and bowl. Ray sang with a quartet in the 50’s and loved music his entire life. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Palermo-Tarver; children, Kevin Tarver, Emma Tarver Quinones & husband, Joshua, Austin Ray Tarver; grandson, Alec Tarver, numerous nieces, nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Claude Tarver Jr., Mildred Tarver, Ollie Tarver, James Tarver, C.A. Tarver, and Johnnie Tarver.
