Raymond Doty

Graveside services for Raymond Thomas Doty, 89, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2009 in the Greenacres Memorial Park. The Rev. Donny Williams will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 6-8 p.m.

Raymond Thomas Doty passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in Ft. Worth. He was born March 5, 1920 in rural Johnson County to John Oliver and Maude Jane Bayless Doty. He married Mary Louise Gates on September 22, 1940 in Duncan, OK.

Mr. Doty retired from Forrest Chevrolet where he was a mechanic for over 26 years. He was of the Baptist faith and was a lifetime member of VFW in Alvarado.

Raymond Doty is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Louise Doty of Cleburne; daughters, Beth Bishop and husband, Bobby of Cleburne and Donna Sanders and husband, Fred of Ft. Worth; sons, Nick Doty and wife, Naomi of Cleburne and Rick Doty and wife, Debbie of Grandview; sister, Inez Elsie of Tow, TX; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, J.D. and Earl Doty and one sister, JoAnn Doty.
