Raymond Roye

Mr. Roye passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 in Cleburne. He was born August 19, 1926 in Johnson County, Texas to William Marvin and Angie Pearl Anderson Roye. He married Lizzie Bell Brown McDonald November 7, 1953 in Weatherford, Texas.
Mr. Roye was a carman for the Santa Fe Railroad for forty-two years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rio Vista and a member of the Cleburne Elks Lodge.
Raymond Roye is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Lizzie Bell Roye, of Cleburne; daughters, Paula Kathryn White and husband, Ed, of Boerne, Nancy Jane Bergman and husband, Danny of Cleburne and Vicki Gale Lambert and husband, David,of Joshua; step-daughters, Patsy Briscoe and Cynthia Marti and husband, Paul; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and fifteen step-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Azlee West, Violet Copeland, H.A. Roye, John Roye and wife Virginia, Junior Roye and wife Wilma, Wanda Harwell and husband Kenneth and Leo Roye and wife Marie and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, William Anderson Roye, William Travis Roye and James Richard Roye.
