Raynette Carson

Graveside service for Raynette Carson, 87, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Rosehill Cemetery. Dr. Terry Williams will officiate. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. Friday, September 22, 2023 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Justin Kilman, Bryce Seals, Chris Carnes, Josh Carson, Joey Lacey and Tommy Allison.

Raynette passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 in Burleson. She was born July 15, 1936 in Bono, Texas to Toliver Thomas and Beulah (Maples) Barger. She married Joe Burnice Carson on June 24, 1955 in Cleburne. Raynette worked at Bill and Marty’s Restaurant for over 30 years. She was of the Baptist faith.

Raynette was feisty and strong willed with an independent streak. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Raynette’s passion was fishing! She spent countless hours fishing and nothing could keep her from it ,not even the weather. Playing the slots was also her favorite pass time. She will be greatly missed.

Raynette is survived by her husband, Joe B. Carson, Sr.; children, Joe B. Carson, Jr., Patricia Annette White, Susan Raynette Gore; grandchildren, Tabitha, Tommy, Tiffany, Josh, April and Heather; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Raynette is preceded in death by her parents; son, Toliver Carson; granddaughter, Angelah Carson; siblings, Thomas Barger, Henrietta Carlock, Wilmarine Lancaster, Charlotte Evans and Doris Stanley.
