A service celebrating the life of Reba Jean Johnson, 85, of Coweta County, Georgia, formerly of Cleburne, will be conducted at 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. A private burial will be in Bethany Rest Cemetery in Alvarado. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.
Reba Jean Johnson entered our Heavenly Father’s kingdom on January 20, 2017 in Georgia. She was born December 8, 1931 in Gracemont, OK to Ranzo and Lenora Groves.
Mrs. Johnson worked at LTV and was also employed as a customer service representative at various retail stores before retiring. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Rick Hewitt, Milton Hewitt and wife Jerie, and Steve Hewitt and wife Cherri; daughter, Cheryl Honeycutt and husband Dray; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Royce Groves and wife Mert; sister, Sandra Rodgers; sister-in-law, Carolyn Groves; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Johnson; son, William Jay Hewitt; brother, Ray Groves; and sisters, Edith Gresham and Bernice Johnson.
