Service for Rebecca M. Cruey, 93, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 21, 2022, in the First United Pentecostal Family Church, Cleburne. Pastor DeWaun Ashley will officiate. Burial to follow in Burleson Memorial Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 P.M at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Robert Hassell, Richard Yeoman, Stephen Cruey, Mark Cruey, , Daniel Wright, Aaron Wright, Joshua Cruey and Jeremy Cruey. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Fuller and Jeff McGee.
Rebecca passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Burleson. She was a daughter of Rebecca and George Still. She was born September 9, 1928, in El Paso. Rebecca married A. Paul Cruey on April 27, 1946, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Crowley Senior Center with family and friends. Paul passed away December 16, 2002. Paul was a Veteran of WWII serving in the 44th Infantry. His family and grandsons considered him a hero. Rebecca was a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso. She taught school in the Ysleta School District, a suburb of El Paso. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Family Church in Cleburne. Many years of her life were spent in church ministries, as a musician, teacher, youthwork, and nursing home ministry.
Rebecca is survived by her four children and their spouses, Laura & Charles Yeoman, Robert and Jan Cruey, Carol and Steve Fallin, David and Marjorie Cruey; 8 grandsons; 21 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Dorothy Snider and her husband, Don; and Georgia Cruey and her husband, Clarence.
