Service for Ren K. “Mac” McCroskey, 89, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 in the Ascension Lutheran Church Worship Center. Pastor Eddie Scheler will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Ren K. “Mac” McCroskey passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 in Ft. Worth. He was born April 10, 1928 in Oakland, CA to Robert K. and Eula Addie Goodwin McCroskey. He married Beatrice Joy Ellis on Oct. 3, 1953 in Highland, CA.
Mr. McCroskey served in the United States Army and worked as a foreman for the Santa Fe Railroad before retiring. He was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Cleburne.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen Collisson of Trinity; grandchildren, Erika Collisson, Tandi Hawkins and husband David and Kwesi Collisson and wife Sveva; six great grandchildren, Zia Miloudi, Kamrynn Miloudi, Aymeric Novals, Savannah Hawkins, Maceo Hawkins and Nicholas Collisson; one brother, Gene Short and wife Dorothy of Hawaii; and numerous additional family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Beatrice “Bea” McCroskey on July 19, 2010; daughter, Judy McCroskey; brother, Walter McCroskey; and son-in-law, Fred Collisson.
