Reuben Harrell Chism passed away Sunday, June 26, 2005 in Cleburne. He was born December 28, 1926 in Zepher, Texas, to Arthur and Jewel Horner Chism. He married Esther Siegmund on September 17, 1946 in Evant, Texas.
Mr. Chism retired from the retail meat sales industry after 43 years of service. He was a member of Watts Chapel United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Ft. Worth.
Reuben Harrell Chism is survived by his wife Esther Chism of Grandview; two sons, Dr. Larry Chism and wife Vicki of Tyler and Harrell Chism of Ft. Worth; sister, Ila Faye Turner of Tyler; three brothers, Odell Chism of Terrell, Billy Chism of Brownwood and Don Chism of Plano; six grandchildren, Will Chism, Carter Chism, Coleman Chism, Brent Chism, Jeremy Chism and Katherine Harsha. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, L. H. Chism and sister, Mattie Mae Wardlow.
