Funeral service for The Reverend C. D. McAdoo, Jr., 85, of Ft. Worth will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2951 Evans Ave. in Ft. Worth. The Reverend William T. Glynn will officiate. Interment will be at 11:15 A.M., Monday, May 13, 2013 in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M, Saturday, prior to service.

Reverend C.D. McAdoo passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 in Ft. Worth. He was born Oct 11, 1927 in Ft. Worth to Charley Doyle Sr. and Margaret Graves McAdoo. He married Dorothy Williams on Nov. 27, 1975 in Ft. Worth.

Reverend McAdoo served his country in the United States Army. He was an ordained minister for 46 years as pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Cleburne. He was also a custodian for TCJC for 20 plus years. Reverend McAdoo served as president of the East Cleburne Ministeral Alliance for many years, and also treasurer of the North Texas District Association for many years. He served as pastor in Roanoke and Alvarado prior to serving as the pastor at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Dorothy McAdoo of Ft. Worth; children, Vera Verhoeven of Ft. Worth, Margaret Tillman and husband Alan of Grand Prairie, Deborah Johnson of Ft.Worth, Charlene McAdoo of Waco, Charley D. McAdoo III of Ft. Worth, Jessica Robinson of Arlington, Paula McAdoo, Paul McAdoo and Michael McAdoo, all of Ft. Worth, Terry Lee Small and wife Vicky of Houston and Cynthia Ray and husband Ken of Ft. Worth; 29 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren; and one sister, Victoria Anderson of Rancho Cordova, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Margie Niece.

The family would like to say thank you to the UT Health Care Staff for all their wonderful care.
