Born on August 24, 1936, in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, Brother Cullen was a man of unwavering faith, and a pillar of his community who devoted his life to serving others. He graduated from College of Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico with a bachelor of Art in 1971. He also graduated from the First Orthodox Baptist Church Bible School to become an ordained minister. His commitment to his faith was matched only by his affection for his family and friends. He took great joy in remembering and celebrating the birthdays of those around him, always sending the perfect card to brighten the days of his loved ones.
Brother Bill was not only a loving father and grandfather; he was also an avid car lover, buying and selling them on a whim with reasons only he knew, and understood. His legacy of kindness and generosity, and his unwavering sense of humor that always kept everyone laughing, will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
Brother Bill is survived by his daughters, Kim Waters and husband Jim, and Kathy Moore, and his son Billy Cullen and wife Cheryl Cullen; sisters Barbara Hannaman, Wanda Astbury and husband Eric, Delphine Mason and husband Bill; and brother Joel Hannaman. He also leaves behind a cherished legacy of 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren who will continue to honor his memory.
