Rex Bowers

Services for Rex Bowers, 80, of Cleburne wil be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Miller, Darrell Miller, Robert Miller, Michael Ravey and Clint Bowers.

Mr. Bowers passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009 in Cleburne. He was born Feb. 23, 1929 in Ft. Worth to Crowell Edward and Frances Louise Carpenter Bowers. He married Doris Mae McHone in Oct. 1975 in Cleburne. He was an aircraft assembler for Bell Helicopter for 23 years. Mr. Bowers was a former resident of Ft. Worth and member of the Stockyards Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Bowers is survived by his wife Doris Bowers of Cleburne; son, Clint Bowers; daughter, Rexanne Nelson; step-sons, Bill Miller and wife Linda, Donny Miller, Jimmy Miller, Darrell Miller and wife Carla; step-daughters, Doris Ravey, Carol Gegen and husband Jim; sister, Patsy Beren; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Martha Stricklin.

Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Monday at the funeral home.
