Rhonda Bates

Services for Rhonda Bates, 48, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2009 in the Faith Temple Church, 1440 W. Kilpatrick. The Rev. Weldon Coble will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 6-8 p.m.

Rhonda Bates passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009 at home with family in Cleburne. She was born February 23, 1960 in Lubbock to D. L. and Dorothy Mae Frost Qualls. She lived most of her life in the Lubbock area. She married Timothy Ray Bates on December 11, 1997 in Clovis, N.M.

Mrs. Bates was a waitress and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a loving wife, mother, Nana, friend and she will be truly missed.

Rhonda is survived by her husband, Tim Bates of Cleburne; two sons, Terence Hersom and Brandon Hersom; six daughters, Tabatha Hersom, Stephanie Hersom , Lamanda Thomas, Amanda Simmons, Chris Simmons and Shelly Wells; two brothers, Gary Qualls (Shelly) and Jerry Qualls (Deborah); her mother, Dorothy Benitez; 27 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father,D.L. Qualls; son, Christopher Hersom and granddaughter, Alicia Sims.
