Rhonda Holden

Funeral services for Rhonda Jean Holden, 56, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in the Westhill Church of Christ. Mr. Kern Porter will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Nubbin Ridge Cemetery, Glen Rose. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home for visitation from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, May 5, 2014.

Rhonda passed away after a long, hard fought battle with cancer on Sunday, May 4, 2014 in Fort Worth surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Leslie Eugene and JoAnn Bostick Holly on August 26, 1957 in Cleburne. Rhonda married Rick D. Holden on October 8, 1982 also in Cleburne. She was the ultimate homemaker, always putting her family and loved ones above even her own needs. Throughout her life she has been known as always having a smile on her face and full of life. She has been an inspiration to others, especially throughout her battle with cancer. Not only was she a determined and courageous fighter, but it has been said that she never complained even on her darkest days. She was truly the thread that held her family together. Rhonda adored her children and grandchildren. She was of the Church of Christ faith. She was an avid Texas Rangers fan. Rhonda enjoyed spending time with her beloved dogs and in her yard, especially with her morning coffee watching the birds. Her love for life and giving nature will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of almost 32 years, Rick D. Holden; children, Jeremy Dale Howe, Holly Fish and her husband, Dustin, and Hunter Holden; grandchildren, Skyler Bryce Howe, Sarah Britney Howe, and Cadence Reese Fish; siblings, Becky Wilkin, and Wayne Holly and his wife, Kay; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends, including her former daughter in law, Tammy Howe.
