Richard Blaine

Service for Richard D. “Rick” Blaine, 97, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the First Christian Church. Reverend Brandon Wright will officiate. Burial to follow in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1:00 P.M., prior to service at the church. Pallbearers will be Kirby Basham, Bryce Basham, David Price, Jim Armstrong, Chuck Bailey and Ken Morrow. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Bennett and Members of the Cleburne Lion’s Club.

Rick passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in Cleburne. He was born March 31, 1924, in Hayti, Missouri. Rick married Dora Darlene Dunham on May 24, 1958, in Arlington. He was a member of First Christian Church in Cleburne. Rick served in the U.S. Army Air Corp., during WWII and worked in the Boot and Shoe Industry for over 60 years.

Rick is survived by his sister, Helen McCoy of Wynne, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Novie Cook of Grandview; brother-in-law, Michael Dunham of North Richland Hills; numerous nieces, nephews which include, Tamara Maywald of Grandview and Rita Basham of Grandview.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Blaine who passed on December 7, 2007 and sister, Irene Litteken.
