Service for Rickey Marie Dyson, 80, of Crowley will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 30, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. Burial will follow in Venus Memorial Park in Johnson County. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home.
Rickey Marie Dyson passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Ft. Worth. She was born July 20, 1937 in Midlothian to Elvin and Jewel Carter Mills. She married Lauren Dyson in June of 1957 and he preceded her in death in 2002.
Mrs. Dyson was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother; sister and a dear friend to many. She loved to read and was also an accomplished author. Rickey has published six novels and was very proud of it. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her two sons, Steve Dyson and wife Norma of Austin and David Dyson and wife Debbie of Joshua; grandchildren, Jason Dyson of Crowley, Melissa Burnell and husband Joseph of North Dakota, Brittany Wagner and husband Raymond of Nevada, Brandie Kramer and husband Kevin of Lewisville, Amanda Hardin and husband Bryan of Cleburne, Laura Lesley of Bakersfield, California, Scott Starr and wife Patsy of Cleburne, Stephanie Ridnour and husband Ricky and Cindy Whitehouse, all of Joshua; 23 great grandchildren, Layla, Samson, Soloman, Olivia, Harper, Luke, Grayson, Brooke, Austin, Landon, Hunter, Parker, Tony, Tyler, Wyatt, Caleb, Mikey, William, Nathan, Damien, Kayla, Hadyn, and Erika; sisters, Wilma Wood of Michigan and Linda Barrington Cobos and husband Jesse of Hurst; brother, James Mills of Ft. Worth; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
