Rita Sue Axelson

Service for Rita Sue Dodson Axelson, 74, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Sand Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Rita Sue Dodson Axelson passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 in Cleburne. She was born March 5, 1943 in Cleburne to Lois and Edna Estelle Bayse Dodson.

Ms. Axelson was a real estate agent and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her children, Ron Gentry of Cleburne, Ronda and Dave Edwards, Jackie Gentry and Tamara and Daniel Torres, all of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren, Lonnie and Mary Poteet, Dustin Poteet, Jennifer Gentry, Sabrina Taff and husband Austin, Candice Gentry, Mandi Wilson, Nikki Hinson, Ryan Reed, Daniel Torres, Aubrey Torres, and Noah Torres; numerous great grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Bettie Trussel, Eugene Dodson and Sandra Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rebecca Williams; and sister, Lorraine “Trixie” Price.
