R.L. Sanderson

Service for R.L. Sanderson, 87, of Alvarado will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 10, 2021 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the funeral home.

R.L. passed away August 21, 2021 in Fort Worth. He was born January 3, 1934 in Cleburne to Sylvester and Carrie Madeline Bewley Sanderson. R.L. married Margie Allen on April 21, 1955 in Cleburne. R.L. worked at Bell Helicopter 31 years before retiring. He was a member of Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church, Local 218 VFW, Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star.

R.L. is survived by his wife Margie Sanderson; daughters, Belinda Massey and husband Terry of Joshua, Cynthia Brand and husband Tom of San Saba, Shawna Maxwell and husband Kevin of Burleson; sister, Martha Love; brothers, Stevie Sanderson and Troy Lynn Sanderson and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

R.L. is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lloyd Wayne Sanderson and Donal Ray Sanderson and son, Ricky Sanderson.
