Services for Robbie Nell Sartor Ellis, 97, of Rio Vista, will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 17, 2019 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Ron Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be at 11:15 A.M. in Bono Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 6-8:00 P.M. Friday.
Robbie Ellis was born February 10, 1922 to Volly I. and Fluretta (Bragg) Sartor in Derden Community, Texas in Hill County. She married Gilbert Ellis July 31, 1943 In Abilene, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2000.
She married during World War II and worked at Convair as an original “Rosie the Riveter”. Bob was a wonderful and supporting wife. She was an amazing cook preparing “banquets” for her family for all occasions. Robbie Ellis was a loving, caring mother, grandmother, Mimi and “Aunt Bob”. She spent her entire life taking care of others. She loved the Lord and served him by serving others.
Survivors include sons, Larry Ellis and wife JoAnn of Cleburne, Jimmy Ellis and wife Christine of Clarksville, and Doug Ellis of Rio Vista; daughters, Sandra Hodge and husband Guy of Cleburne and Deb Slaughter and husband Brent of Cleburne; grandchildren, Yvonne Baldwin husband Randy, Johnnie Littlefield and husband Brad, Misti Ellis, Kelly Summey and husband Dru, Kerry Madson and husband Steve, Johnny Hodge and wife Valerie, Jamie Lay and husband Mark, Gil Ellis, Lori Hunt and husband Jessie, Bobbi Ochoa, Aaron Ellis, Joy York and husband Jimmy, Ginny Lowans and husband Geoff, Dan Slaughter, Danay Slaughter, John Slaughter and Jessica Slaughter; 38 great-grandchildren; 14 great great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Betty Ellis of Rock Port, Texas.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Rayburn, Porter, Jack, George and Garland Sartor; grandson, Barry Slaughter; and great-granddaughters, Whitney McKelvey and Journi Hunt.
