Robert Anthony

Graveside service for Robert Allen Anthony, 72, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 28, 2016 in the Rosehill Cemetery. Dr. Paul Calaway will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Robert Allen Anthony passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in Ft. Worth. He was born January 25, 1944 in Columbus, GA to Howard W. and Rosa Lee Anthony. He married Paula Gent.
Mr. Anthony worked as a paint contractor and later retired from Wal-Mart as a greeter. He was a big kid at heart who enjoyed picnics, Six Flags and worshiped his grandchildren. Robert was a member of the Painters Union. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, a Christian man, and a member of the fundamental Baptist Church in Alvarado.
Survivors include his sister, Glenda Solomon; children, Betty Smith, Billy Stringfellow, Joyce Stringfellow, Elizabeth Anthony Helms, and Nena Marie Anthony; 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paula Anthony in 2012; sister, Jane Haas; and a brother, Howard W. Anthony, Jr.
