Robert C. Heald, Sr.

Service for Robert C. Heald, Sr., 88, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in the Lane Prairie Baptist Church. The Reverend Jerry Clements will officiate. Committal will be at 2:15 P.M., Tuesday, in DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Pallbearers will be Roy Gee, Ralph King, Gene Snow, Albert Garner, Micheal McLarry and Mark Stedman. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.

Robert C. Heald, Sr. passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Keene. He was born Feb. 2, 1929 in Los Angeles, CA to Hubert and Willie Perrin Heald. He married Joyce Lorraine Box on Feb. 23, 1948 in Dallas and she preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 2014 after 65 years of marriage.

Mr. Heald was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and worked as a supervisor at General Motors, retiring with 34 years of service. He was a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church.

Survivors include his four children, Vicki Walters of Cleburne, Robert C. Heald Jr. and wife Ann of Woodstock, GA, Valerie McLarry and husband Micheal of Grand Prairie and Vanita Stedman and husband Mark of Arlington; five grandchildren, Jessica Reser and husband Nick, Jared Heald and wife Stacey, Shanna Jobe and husband Steven, Kylie Stedman and Mason Stedman; and six great grandchildren, Matney Heald, Halle Kate Heald, Evelyn Heald, Bryson Jobe, Brody Jobe and Raelyn Reser. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Willie A. Clements; son-in-law, Edward Walters; and a cousin Delphine Floyd.
