Services for Robert Lewis Calahan, 64, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 13, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in the Baker-Lain Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 P.M. Thursday.
Mr. Calahan passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in Cleburne. He was born September 5, 1945 in Cleburne to Wendell Lewis and Mary Moore Calahan. He married Glenna June Brown on November 9, 1972 in Cleburne.
Robert retired in 1997 after 32 years of service as Captain with the Cleburne Fire Department. He was also well known for his drywall business, Calahan Drywall, which has been in business since the 1940's. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He especially loved to watch his grandsons play football. He was a wonderful husband, father and PaPa, who loved his wife and grandchildren more than words can say. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Robert is survived by his wife of 38 years, Glenna Calahan of Cleburne; sons, Eddie Calahan and wife Lydia of Ft. Worth and Norman D. Priest II of Keene; daughters, Beckey Bolander of Cleburne and Gwen Priest Neiman and husband Rocky of Arlington; daughter-in-law, Sally Pelfrey Calahan of Cleburne; brothers, James Calahan and wife Jackie and Jerry Calahan and wife Judy, all of Cleburne; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
