Robert Greene

Services for Robert L. Greene, 69 of Covington, will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial: Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Robert L. Greene passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 in Arlington. He was born to Robert L. Sr. and Edna Irene Phillips Greene on July 7, 1940 in Welch, West Virginia. Robert served in the United States Air Force during the Bay of Pigs (Cuban Crisis). He married Cheryl Willene Marcum on September 16, 1988 in Arlington. He co-owned Grant Air Conditioning in Fort Worth for over 35 years and later in life farmed. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Covington since 1993. "Pappa" as his grandchildren called him was an outgoing, dependable, roping cowboy that enjoyed spending time with his friends and beloved dog, Sandy at the local coffee shop. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Greene; children and their spouses, Larry Wayne Greene, Tracie and Andy Moomey, Tina and Tim Stephens, and John and Laurie Kauer; grandchildren, Chelsea Stephens, Myrissa Weeks, and J. Asher Kauer; siblings and their spouses, Betty and Harrison Mullins, Brenda and Bob Jones, Jerry and Holly Greene, Frank Greene, Ann and Bill Wyatt, and Roy and Pam Greene; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
