Robert Leslie Heckler went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Robert was born December 4, 1942 in Pittsville, Massachusetts to Lucille and Lawrence Heckler. Robert retired from Bell Helicopter. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys and viewing Fox News. He also loved cooking and grilling. Above all, Robert loved spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Margaret Heckler of Cleburne; son, Bronson Ray Heckler of Bedford; daughter, Robin Soto and husband, Adam of Cleburne; brothers, Bill Heckler and wife, Carolyn of Little Elm, Larry Heckler and wife, Christie of Arlington; grandchildren, Chole Heckler, Jace Soto, Julian Soto, Mia Soto; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will deeply miss him, and his dog, Max.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille and father, Lawrence Heckler; his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Ozettie and Vernon Bowman; and brothers-in-law: Kenneth Bowman and Elmer L. Fulp, Sr.
Serving as pallbearers are Adam Soto, Jace Soto, Julian Soto, Keith Krenek, Tyler Frost, and Jacob Myatt.
Graveside services for Robert will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022, 11:30 A.M. at
Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends
at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
