Robert Keith Johnson

Services for Robert Keith Johnson, 70, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Dr. Danny Crosby officiating.  There will be an open visitation for family and friends on Monday, July 15, 2024, at the funeral home.

Robert Johnson, a man who deeply loved everyone he met, especially his family, has gone to be with our Lord. He was a devoted "Pepaw" to his grandkids, a title he cherished immensely. A diehard rodeo fan, Robert spent half his life immersed in the sport. He rode bareback horses, roped steers, worked as a pickup man, and was renowned as the best rodeo clown and barrel man. His love for entertaining the crowd was evident in every performance. In 1980, Robert joined the Johnson County Sheriff’s Posse, where he dedicated four decades of service. His passion for the outdoors, particularly being in an arena or on a horse, defined much of his life. Robert was also an avid hunter, fisherman, and all-around outdoorsman, never missing an opportunity to be outside. He enjoyed playing softball and golf, always striving to perfect his game. Robert retired from Johnson County Electric Coop, where he worked tirelessly in the Texas heat and severe storms as a lineman, ensuring that people had power.

Above all, Robert loved his bride, with whom he was about to celebrate 48 years of marriage. He cherished her deeply and always made sure she knew it.

Robert Johnson's legacy of love, dedication, and passion will forever be remembered by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Johnson; children, Todd Johnson and his wife Reina and Rachael Johnson; sister, Kathy Smith; grandchildren, Brinly Johnson, Landry Johnson, and Haidyn Wallace. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
