Services for Robert Kenneth Shelton, 93, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in the Greenacres Mausoleum Chapel. The Rev. Don Hyrkas will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Shelton, an upholsterer for the Santa Fe Railroad passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 in Fort Worth. He was born September 13, 1916 in Blum to Charles Lonzo and Pearl Higgins Shelton. He married Dimple Henson on November 5, 1935 in Cleburne. Robert was of the Baptist faith.
Robert Kenneth Shelton is survived by his son, Robert Shelton and wife Betty of Burleson; daughter, Peggy Griggs and husband David of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren, Marcia Griggs, Todd Shelton and wife, Chanda and Tad Shelton; three great grandchildren, Lindsay Brundage, Padon Paxton and Parker Shelton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dimple Shelton on March 26, 2006 and one brother, John Shelton on June 15, 2010.
