Service for Robert Conrad Wallen, 84, of Richardson will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 22, 2022, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the funeral home.
Robert Wallen passed at his home on July 13, 2022. Robert “Bob” Wallen was born to Conrad Glenn and Oleta Loree Wallen on January 14, 1938. Robert was a strait talker, hard worker, joke teller, and family man. He loved visiting with his family and being there for every important holiday and milestone.
He was a proud father watching both his kids grow up to serve their communities, and he loved his younger sister and the family she created. He was very proud of the people in his life and the things they had accomplished. After serving in the military and finishing university his oil field career took him across many oceans and later into several Dallas homes as a realtor for over 30 years. Robert loved listening to Jim Reeves, and eating TexMex, and his drink of choice was black coffee before five, and boxed red wine after five. He spent his Sundays and some Thursdays watching them Cowboys.
Robert leaves behind his children, Bryan Conrad Wallen and wife, Shelly DeNae Wallen, Jessica Elizabeth Wallen and fiance, Calum Alexander Burton; grandchildren Autumn DeNae Wallen, Amber Loree Wallen, and Bryce Conrad Wallen; Sister, Jacquelyn Marie and husband, Larry Keith Durrett; nephews, Kenneth Glenn and wife Penny Michelle Durrett and Drew Bowen and wife, Ashley Day Durrett; great nieces and nephews, Bowen Lake Durrett, Bentley Keith Durrett, Drew Boston Durrett, Bethany Marie Durrett, Hope Elizabeth Taylor, Hannah Jewel Taylor, and Kimbree Dawn Walker; great-great granddaughter, Palmer Hope Dyess; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Conrad Glenn and Oleta Loree Wallen; wife, Judy Carol Tackett Wallen; son, John Edward Wallen; and great nephew Lleyton Keith Durrett.
