Robert Wise

Graveside services for Robert Lee Wise, 74, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 18, 2011 in the Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday in the funeral home.

Mr. Wise passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Cleburne. He was born to Robert Vernon and Velma Blankenship Wise on March 9, 1936 also in Cleburne. He married Rosa Ellen Bullard Wise on November 26, 1954 in Cleburne. Robert served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 21 years as a welder with Martin Sprocket in 2001. He was an outspoken man who enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. Robert looked forward to his evening outings, riding around town. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Robert was preceded in death by his father; and brothers, Jimmy Wise and infant, Darrell Wise.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Rosa Wise; mother, Velma Wise; children, Charlotte Wise, Robby Wise and his wife, Melissa, and Courtney Hughes and her husband, Scott; grandchildren, Justin Wise and Loren Hughes; siblings, Richard Wise, Marie Wright, Laverne Pervis; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
