Roger "Indian" Dale Green, Sr.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Roger “Indian” Dale Green, Sr., age 77, of Rio Vista, will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Thomas Stevens offering a few words in remembrance.

"Indian" passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, in Fort Worth. He was born on September 2, 1947, in California. "Indian" was a dedicated member of the Broken Pieces Ministry and shared a loving marriage with Joyce (Hamms) Green. He had a successful career as a painter in the home and construction industry and was widely recognized for his talent in Native American beading. "Indian" was passionate about dancing and was known for his engaging storytelling, earning affection from all who knew him as "Indian". His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his children, Roger Green, Jr., Tina Johnson and partner Michael Cryer, Stacy “Bo” Green and wife Lisa, David Courtney, and Ronda Vaughn. "Indian" is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his siblings, Mike Green, Mark Green, and Becky Green.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Betty Green; his brothers, Glen David, and Danny Green; and his sister, Diane Green.
