Roger Lee “Jody” Miller, 73, of Cleburne passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in Cleburne. He was born August 25, 1943 in Carrollton, MO to Claude Klank and Mary Ruth Falke Miller. He married Frances Marie McGinty on June 13, 1964 in Kansas City, MO.
Mr. Miller proudly served his country during the Vietnam era, where he was a Bronze Star recipient. He was a farmer and a construction welder. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was the founder of Turkey Creek Hunting Club. Roger was also a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a dear friend to many. He was a member of McCroskie Creek Baptist Church in MO.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Frances Miller of Cleburne; sons, Justin Miller of Sanger, and Lt. Col. Jeffrey Miller and wife Catharine of Lees Summit, MO; grandson, Caleb Miller of Granbury; granddaughter, Jessica Miller of Corinth; numerous nephews; other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Heritage Trails Nursing and Rehab.
There will be a service at Heritage Trails Nursing and Rehab to be announced at a later date. His final resting place will be on the family farm. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 3, 2017 at McCroskie Creek Baptist Church in MO.
