Service for Roger d. Stewart, 63, of Covington, will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 in Westhill Church of Christ. Mr. Kenton Harvey and The Reverend Eric Black will officiate. Burial will be in Covington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Peacock, Jason Doty, Jason Gross, Kevin Cordell, Daniel Beam, Mark Oldham, Jeff Gallup and Jack Goleman. Honorary pallbearers will be Keaton Martin, Kreagan Martin, Lydon Lain, Landon Lain, Adam Roberts and David Fredrick. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Stewart passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 in Hillsboro. He was born April 18, 1949 in Cleburne to Leslie Melvin and Dorothy Winona Chastain Stewart. He married Linda Jane Petty on August 13, 1970 in Stockton, Calif.

Mr. Stewart served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He had just retired as the minister of the Covington Church of Christ, having served faithfully for 19 years.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Stewart of Covington; daughter, Rachel Barker and husband Blake of Cleburne; mother, Dorothy Stewart of Cleburne; grandson, Mason Barker of Cleburne; sisters, Judy Woodall and husband Larry of Ft. Worth and Denise Gross and husband Harvey of Cleburne; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Stewart.
