Ron Conn

Private memorial services will be held at a later date for, Ronald Wayne Conn, 68, of Venus. Ron passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at his home, surrounded by loved ones. He was born August 31, 1942 in San Diego, CA. Ron married Paula Markham on March 6, 1964 in Fort Worth. He was of the Methodist faith. Ron retired after 33 years of service with Bell Helicopter as a Material Bonder Supervisor. Ron was a private man who could often be found piddling around the house or in the garden with his flowers. Papa, as his grandchildren called him, enjoyed spending time on the computer. Ron's love of laughter and quiet spirit will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Douglas and Juanita Fay Groves Conn; sister, Rhonda Fay Jones; and an infant brother, Steven Conn.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Conn; two daughters, Carol Shaver, and her husband, Jerry; and Cindy Conn and her companion, David; one son, John Conn; four grandchildren, Tyler, Danyelle, Hunter, and Lindsey; sister, Susie Lawyer; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
