Ronald Hammond

Service for Ronald Wayne Hammond, 78, of Burleson, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2021, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be at 9:15 a.m., Thursday, June 10, 2021, in DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be David Mulligan, Tyler Hammond, Josh Hammond, Kenny Hammond, Kyle Hammond and Christopher Hammond.

Ronald Wayne Hammond passed away June 6, 2021, in Burleson. He was born to Harold Wayne and Juanita (Daniels) Hammond on February 22, 1943, in Fort Worth. Ronald served in the United States Air Force and was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service with 42 years of service. He married Shirley Christene (Hawley) Hammond on May 23, 1993, in Fort Worth. He was a member of Hallmark Baptist Church.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Shirley Christene Hammond of Burleson; children, Troy Don Hammond and Janelle of Clovis, New Mexico, Kelly Rachelle Wakeman and David of Burleson, Jonathan Wade Hammond and Jennifer Kidd of Pampa, Texas; daughter-in-law, Lori Hammond; 3 step-children, Curtis Russell Graham and Tressia of Mississippi, Christy Jo Davis and Destry of Burleson, Tommy Allen Graham and Jennifer of Joshua; brothers, John Paul Hammond and Gloria of Cleburne, Jan Craig and Suzanne of N.M., Harold “Hal” Hammond of Rainbow, Texas; 26 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Juanita Hammond; son, Ronald Doys Hammond; grandson, Daniel Graham; and granddaughter, Madison Lei
