Service for Ronnie Dave Dickey, 65, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 19, 2014, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Greg Robinson will officiate. Interment will be in the Bono Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stephen Hafford, Fernando Jimenez, Henry Mendoza, Brian Jernigan, Wes Dickey, Alan Dickey, Mike Rich and Paul Dickey. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Rogers, Harlen Pinnell, Bubba Dickey, Jesse Spradling, Bill Young, Terry McCoy, Eric McColl, Shane Willingham, Lonnie Neal and Doug Taylor. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 6-8 PM.
Ronnie Dave Dickey passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Cleburne. He was born May 21, 1948 in Cleburne to Charlie Emmett and Martha Jane Terry Dickey. He married Mary Jane McGurren on April 21, 1970 in Owensboro, KY.
Mr. Dickey served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as telecommunications project manager. He previously owned and operated Dickey Trucking and enjoyed traveling all across the United States, but was always glad to be back in his home state of Texas.
Ronnie was a loving husband and family man. He was ornery and the most unselfish person you could meet. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. He had a beautiful voice, loved to sing, and even wrote songs. He was a member of Bono Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Mary Jane Dickey; children, Rusty Dickey and wife, Patti, Angie Irby and husband Jerry, Cena Hafford and husband Stephen, and Chase Dickey; daughter in law, Sylvia Manriquez; grandchildren, Bailey (Nikki D), Kamen, Kaitlyn, Kirsten, Kaleb, Lucas, Ty, Fernando, Victoria, and Emily; siblings, Charles Dickey, Reba Rogers, and Joycie Rich; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Dickey.
