Ronnie J. Boyer

Service for Ronnie J. Boyer, 73, of Cleburne Texas will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2016 at the First Christian Church in Cleburne Texas. Dr. Dick Lord will officiate the service. Burial will be at Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Norton, George Smithwick, Jeff Cooper, Bryant Smalley, Brad Cowan, Butch Silvey, and Ken Chandler. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Bennett, Wendell White, Ron Layland, Bob Brown, Rick Blaine, Jimmy Finley, Ken Ellis, Chuck Bailey, Roger Matlock, and all of the men of First Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday September 25, 2016 at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.
Ronnie J. Boyer passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Fort Worth Texas. He was born November 7, 1942 in Cleburne Texas to Robert Irving and Willie Voneita Thompson Boyer. He married Beverly Sue Bratcher on April 23, 1964 in Maypearl Texas.
Ronnie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Ronnie was a supervisor/electrician with over 34 years of service for the Santa Fe and Union Pacific Railroads until retiring. He was a life-long member of the First Christian Church in Cleburne Texas. His involvement in church included: Deacon, Property Chairman, Cabinet Member, and served on the Board of Trustees. He enjoyed his Sunday school class as well as his “coffee bunch.” Ronnie was a player on the 1959 State Champion Team for Cleburne High School. Ronnie was a proud Cleburne Yellow Jackets, who bled black and gold.
Survived by: his beloved wife of 52 years, Beverly Boyer of Cleburne Texas; three daughters Christi Gregory and husband Roger, Terri Archer and husband Al, and Marci Thompson and husband Luke all of Cleburne Texas; four grandchildren, Catelin and Cason Gregory, Alex and Trey Archer; one sister Anita Pattillo of Cleburne Texas; one niece; two nephews; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant twin brothers; and one niece.
