Ronnie Shields

Ronnie Shields passed away, Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 in Waco. He was born Dec. 3, 1943 in Ft. Worth to Ewell Talmadge and Vivian Arlene Bradshaw Shields. He married Janice Thomas on June 8, 1979 in Blum. Ronnie was a self employed painter for many years and most recently a bus driver for the Blum ISD. He had a passion for motorcycles, guns, camping and loved the outdoors. Ronnie was a devoted son, a loving husband, father, papa and brother. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blum.
Ronnie Shields is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janice Shields of Blum; mother, Vivian Shields of Blum; son, Shawn Shields and wife Teri of Benbrook; two daughters, Misti Coburn and husband Ben of Blum and Kristen Rufino and husband Jason of Maryland; brother, Mike Shields and wife Marcy of Aledo; sister, Vicki Underwood and husband Don of Blum; 6 grandchildren, Erin, Lauren, Ryann Grace, Nolan, Katelyn, Tallie Ann and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ewell T. Shields; two grandchildren, Bailey Hope and Kacey Ann; brother and sister in law, Dewey and Sherry Shields.
