Graveside services for Rosetta "Miss Rose" Pollard, 62, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 8, 2011 in the Green Lawn Cemetery. Miss Pollard passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011 in Fort Worth. She was born to Booker T. and Beatrice Brown Pollard on October 25, 1947 in Cleburne. She was a member of the Emmanuel Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cleburne. She worked as a cook most of her life, most recently at Abode Treatment Center in Fort Worth. Miss Rose was a loving lady who enjoyed spending time with her family, often shopping or walking with her sisters. She was a faithful and dedicated Christian. Miss Rose was known as a giving lady, often putting others' needs before her own. Her love of life and helping spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Booker T. Pollard, Jr., Paul Pollard, Samuel Pollard, and Margaret Jean Pollard.
Survivors include her parents, Booker T. and Beatrice Pollard; sons, Zachary Pollard and wife, Rita and Nicholas Pollard; 10 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; siblings, Katherine Carter and husband, James, Barbara Rochelle and husband, Nelson, Wanda Richard, Charles Pollard and wife, Nita, and Norman Douglas Pollard; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends, including her best friends, Beth and Bill Williams.
