Rosetta Tary

Grandview, Texas - Rosetta Amanda Maggert Newman Tary, 93, a retired LVN, left this earth for a better place on Thursday, 25 Aug 2011. She died with Alzheimer's.

Memorial Services: 2 p.m. Sunday, 4 Sept. 2011 at the Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home, Cleburne TX.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests planting a tree in her memory or a donation made to the Alzheimer's Association, N. Central TX Chapter, 2630 W. Freeway, suite 100, Fort Worth, TX 76102, Tel# 817-336-4949.

Rosetta was born in Miami County, Ohio of the late Forrest and Alice Maggert on 11 April 1918. She married and outlived Joe Newman and Nap Tary. She raised three sons as a single parent. At 57 she entered LVN training and graduated top of her class a year later. She worked 10 years for Arlington Memorial Hospital before retiring. Always quick to smile, help others, read a book and work in her organic gardens.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tim Fred; sisters: Bertha, Violet, Verda; brothers: Floyd, Glen, Evert, Art; grandchild: Jorg.

Survivors: Two sisters: Grace Sanders, OH; Eunice Pemberton, OH; brother: Emmit Maggert, OH; three sons: Stephen Joe Newman (Maureen), Wickenburg, AZ, Kurt Daniel Newman (Michele), Cleburne, TX, Lowell J.C. Newman (Connia), LaPorte, TX.; six grandchildren: Mark, Gina, Michaele, Kevin, Danielle, Timothy; 10 great grandchildren: Mathew, Ashley, Allyssa, Sara, Carol, Delanie, Shardae, Jordan, Madison, Adrien; 6 great great children and numerous nieces, nephews and a ton of friends.
