Graveside service for Roy Dolton Andrews, 87, of Cleburne will be conducted at 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne.
Roy Dolton Andrews passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 in Cleburne. He was born September 19, 1933 in Oakwood, Texas to Burford Berry and Lottie May (Crum) Andrews.
He married Betty Sue Anderson on May 21, 1956 in Lovington, New Mexico.
Roy was best known as “Bubba”, “Daddy” or “Pawpaw”. He loved animals and raised and sold various animals throughout his life including horses, cows, goats, chickens, rheas, emus, rabbits, and all kinds of birds! At various times in his life, Roy has owned a mechanic shop, a cafe, a food truck, and an ice cream truck. Roy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed going every morning to a local corner store for a cup of coffee. If you knew Roy and he gave you a hard time or picked on you, it meant he liked you! He was a character with a love for people, especially his family.
Roy is survived by his wife, Betty Andrews of Cleburne; son Roy Dale Andrews of Lancaster; daughter, Pam Andrews Morgan of Cleburne; grandson, Chris Andrews; granddaughters, Casey Morgan Chapa, Chelsie Andrews, Andrea Morgan Boedeker; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Preslie Ewing, Rylynn and Aerynn Chapa, Oliver and Henry Boedeker.
Roy is preceded in death by his parent, sister Evelyn Bea Vaughn and brother, Jerry Vick Andrews.
A
