Roy Richardson

Graveside services for Roy Truman Richardson, 82, of Joshua, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2009 in the Greenacres Memorial Park. Mr. Karl Jones will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.

Roy T. Richardson passed away Monday, April 20, 2009 in Joshua. He was born November 7, 1926 in Lamesa to Lewis and Grace Corbitt Richardson. He married Donnie Estelle Buchanan on April 6, 1947 in Cleburne.

Mr. Richardson served in the US Navy. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for a number of years. He also was an air conditioner technician. He was of the Baptist faith.

Roy Richardson is survived by his wife, Donnie Estelle Richardson; two sons, Wesley Dwight Richardson and Milton Brian Richardson and wife Gayle; daughter, Judy Jones and husband Don; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Faye Thurston and Laverne Hadley and two aunts, Montez Bertram and Dorothy Terry.
