Rozelle Gatewood

Mrs. Gatewood passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 in Cleburne. She was born Sept. 29, 1915 in Cleburne to James William, Sr. and Mary Etta Rozelle Miles. She married Herman Gatewood Sr. on Nov. 27, 1948 in Cleburne. Mrs. Gatewood was a bookkeeper for Gatewood Electric for 35 years and was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women at St. Mark and a life member of the Cleburne P.T.A.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Lewis and wife Mary of Tyler and Herman Gatewood, Jr. and wife Marlene of Cleburne; daughter, Pat Tekell and husband Jack of McKinney; granddaughters, Ashley Gatewood of Cleburne, Meredith Gatewood of Cleburne, Christi Lewis of Tyler, Laura Gibbons and husband Scott of Chandler and Ellen Hewitt and husband Jonathan of Celina; grandsons, Steven Tekell and wife Ruth of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Robert Lewis and wife Angela of Elizabeth Town, Kentucky; 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband Allen Lewis in 1945 and her second husband Herman Gatewood, Sr. in August 2002.
