Rozelle Hart
Rozelle Hart, 85, passed away peacefully at home April 1, 2010 surrounded by loving family. Visitation will be at Crosier Pearson Funeral home on Friday, April 2nd from 6-8 pm. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 3rd at 11 am at the family plot in the Pleasant Point Cemetery located in Lillian, TX.
Rozelle was born in Farmersville, TX October 28, 1924 to Balem Moses Hart and Rosa Lee Hart. At an early age, the family moved to their farm in Lillian, TX. Rozelle graduated from Alvarado High School in Alvarado, TX in 1942. After graduation she and her twin sister, Mozelle, moved to Ft Worth where Rozelle worked as a teller at the old FT Worth National bank until 1952. She then moved with her mother to Midland, TX where she was employed at the old Midland National Bank initially as a bookkeeper and retired in 1980 as a Senior Assistant Vice-President. After retirement Rozelle moved to Cleburne, TX to be closer to her family. She was an avid bowler and bowled a 702 series in the Texas Womens' State Bowling Tournament in 1952. Her favorite hobby after retirement was mowing her fields at her farm on the riding lawn mower and tending her two vegetable gardens
Rozelle was preceeded in death by her parents and her siblings; Cardwell Hart, Bertie Morrison, Lucille Street, Marvin Hart, Delmer Hart, Paul D. Hart and Mozelle Smith. Survivors include her longtime companion Nelda Ebert of Godley, TX, , her adopted daughter, Phillis Swanson of San Antonio, TX, her niece, Paula and her husband Vance Wakeland, her niece Rene Smith of Cleburne, TX, her nephew Tommy Smith of Cleburne, TX, and numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews as well as many loving friends in Midland, TX and Cleburne, TX.
The family would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Stephanie Morton and her staff, the Mission Hospice, and Mr. Richard Alfie for their compassionate car.
