Graveside service for Ruby Mae Miller, 81, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in Rosehill Cemetery. Reverend Tony Tawater will officiate. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the funeral home.
Ruby passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023 in Cleburne. She was born January 9, 1942 in Melvin, Texas to Babe and Lorana Lee (Pierce) Hutchinson McKinney. Ruby was a member of Lone Willow Baptist Church. She was a bus driver for Cleburne ISD for 18 years, before retiring in 2002. Ruby was an avid WinStar fan. She had a competitive spirit, loved card games and was a prankster at times. Ruby loved life and being on the go. She stayed up to date with family affairs. Ruby enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved “babies” and music of all kinds. Ruby kept busy with crossword puzzles and feeding the birds and strays in the neighborhood. She was a humble lady with a huge heart. She enjoyed eating at Red Lobster. She had a strong will and independent streak. Ruby will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ginger Stout and Johnny, Toni Mansel and Grady Dobbs, Lynette Ratliff, Randall Holloway and Racheal, and Kevin Holloway; grandchildren, Kevin, Kathy, Charles, Jessica, Cody, Mikaela, Justin, Christa and Frankey; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Amber, Johnny, Waylen, Ryder, Nolan, Lillian, Seamus, and Aurora, numerous nieces, nephews, including former husband, Ray Miller and a host of other relatives and friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Maria; siblings, Thelma and Junior.
