Ruby Throckmorton

Ruby Jewel Throckmorton departed her assignment on this earth on Monday, February 1, 2010 in Cleburne, having lived a good, clean, Christian life for 90 years, 9 months, and 17 days to join her Heavenly Father and loved ones who have gone on before her. A most fitting tribute to describe Ruby Throckmorton would be "A Life Well Lived, A Rest Well Earned".
Ruby was born April 14, 1919 in a rural community west of Covington, Texas to Samuel Joseph (Joe) Taylor and Jewel Ruth Higginbotham Taylor. She married Charlie Throckmorton, Sr. on September 18, 1937. From that moment until his death on December 23, 1983, they worked tirelessly together in farming and ranching as well as devoting their life to their three children.
Ruby is survived by their children, Charles (Charlie) Throckmorton and companion, Fay Brett of the Parker Community, Barbara Leverett and husband, Bill of Cleburne, and Bettie Buckner and husband, Charles (Pete) of Covington; sister, Dot Taylor of Whitney; grandchildren, Brandye Crider of Rio Vista, Brent Leverett of Osceola, Katy Throckmorton of Rio Vista, and Taylor Throckmorton of Lakeside Village; great grandchildren, Autum Throckmorton of Itasca, Cutter, Canyon and Cresson Crider of Rio Vista and Caroline Leverett of Joshua; special daughter in law, Janet Curry of Itasca and beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alma Mae Taylor; and brother, Paul Taylor.
