Services for Ruby Woodard, 90, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 17, 2021, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Corey Talkington, Brandon Talkington, Brennan Jones, Cody Jones, Damien Heslip, and William Shelton.
Ruby passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, in Cleburne. She was born October 12, 1931, to L.J. Henslee and Jeanette Claud Henslee in Merkel, Texas. Ruby married William (Bill) Woodard on June 1, 1974, in Burleson. She worked for Earl Williams Grocery and Cleburne Times Review. Ruby was a loving and kind-hearted lady with a strong will. She overcame any obstacle she faced. She enjoyed crocheting and collecting knick-knacks of all kinds. Her independent nature and sweet spirit will be missed greatly. Ruby was of the Baptist faith.
Ruby is survived by her children and their spouses, Michael Jones, Angela Talkington and Curtis, Douglas Jones and Gina, and Paula Flippin and Michael Novian; eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings and their spouses, James Henslee and Helen, Susie Boles and Leroy, and L.C. Henslee; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepson, Mike Woodard; grandson, Bryan Jones, and sister, Virginia Moore.
