Rufino Cavazos

Service for Rufino Cavazos, 77, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, Oct 7, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 12:00 P.M. in Itasca Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home and Rosary will be 7-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rufino passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 in Fort Worth. He was born September 7, 1943 in Mission, Texas to Manuel L. and Olivia Ortiz Cavazos.

Rufino married Hortensia Longoria on September 29, 1962 in Cleburne. They were married 58 years.

Rufino was a foreman with 30 years of service at Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant.

Rufino is survived by his wife, Hortensia Cavazos of Cleburne; children Joe R. Cavazos, Jr. of Cleburne, David Cavazos and wife Lucy of Cleburne and Tony Cavazos of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Joseph Aaron, John Robert and wife Stacy, Missie Rachelle and husband Jeff, Nina Marie, Dustin Cole; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Manuel O. Cavazos and wife Nellie of Itasca, Petra O. Cavazos of Burleson, Margarito O. Cavazos of Cleburne, Gonzalo O. Cavazos and wife Ernestine of Hillsboro, Maria A. Galindo of Cleburne, Willie O. Cavazos and wife Becky of Cleburne, Jimmy O. Cavazos and wife Maria of Covington and Sylvia O. Terronez and husband Tony of Cleburne.

Rufino is preceded in death by siblings, Elia O. Cavazos and Ruben O. Cavazos.
