Ruth Bandy

Service for Ruth Bandy, 77, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Danny Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jeff England, Billy Pat Arnold, Johnny Hight, Dennis North, Dave Smelley and Steve Schick. Honorary Pallbeareres will be Sam Wayne Hardcastle, Dr. Monte Swatzell, Bobby Hamm and Tom Frank Jones.

Mrs. Bandy passed away Saturday, Mar. 2, 2013 in Cleburne. She was born July 18, 1935 in Kopperl to Dan and Willie D. Walls Boone. She married Will Ed Bandy on May 22, 1953 in Cleburne. Mrs. Bandy was of the Baptist faith and a long time member of First Baptist Church in Godley. In her latter years, she attended the churchs where her son-in-law, Danny pastored.

She worked as a veterinary assistant for Cleburne Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Monte Swatzell and Dr. Danette Raper for many years before retiring. Ruth was lovingly known as Little Granny by her grandsons and loved them very much.

Ruth Bandy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Will Ed Bandy of Cleburne; daughter, Donna Rogers and husband Danny of Cleburne; son, Will Ed Bandy Jr. of Rio Vista; grandsons, Randall Wade Rogers of Austin and Adam Joseph Rogers of Irving; great granddaughter, Isabel Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Alta Ellen Landon.
