Ruth Emmons

Service for Ruth Emmons, 89, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 10, 2013 in the Field Street Baptist Church. Dr. John Hall and Reverend John Glover will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 -8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Joe Juren, Gary Juren, Tom Pagel, Ken Pagel, Alex Williams and Richard Bridges.

Ruth Emmons passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 in Cleburne. She was born December 31, 1923 in Temple to O.H. and Alvinia Slovak Juren. She worked in the credit department for JCPenney. She was a member of Field Street Baptist Church, where she was very active in the Sunday School and Prayer Meetings. She also sang in the Joyful Sound Choir.

Ruth Emmons is survived by her son, Mike Emmons of Dallas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Emmons on May 27, 2011; parents; brother, Henry Juren and two sisters, Ethel Pagel and Doris Reed.
