Services for Ruth Wray, 88, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Wray's nephews.
Mrs. Wray passed away Monday, May 22, 2006 in Cleburne. She was born September 2, 1917 in Hill County, Texas to Phillip and Martha Roberts Watson. She married Robert Samuel Wray in 1939 in Hill County, Texas.
Mrs. Wray was a homemaker and enjoyed making quilts, afghans and crocheting. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Ruth Wray is survived by her daughter, June Rogers of Ft. Worth; son, Jimmy Wray and wife Carol of Cleburne; three grandchildren, Sammie Sheppard and husband Fred of Willow Park, Scott Wray and wife Cindy of Godley and Steven Wray and wife Barbara of Cleburne; six great grandchildren, Hailey, Kaity, Hanah, Alex, Ben and Rachel; two brothers, P. J. Watson and wife Betty and O. P. Watson and wife Jean ; two sisters, Mary Conner and Pat Roye and husband H.A.; sisters-in-law, Azlee Watson and Margie Watson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Wray on August 7, 1973; and two brothers Joe Watson and Lowell Watson.
