Ruthie Daughtry

Service for Ruthie Hestilow Daughtry, 73, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 21, 2017 in the Lane Prairie Baptist Church. The Reverend Jerry Clements will officiate. Burial will be in Peoria Community Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home.
Ruthie Hestilow Daughtry passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Cleburne. She was born Jan. 6, 1944 in Hillsboro to William and Ida Farquhar Hestilow. She married James Clyde Daughtry on April 5, 1958 in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2011, after 53 years of marriage.
Mrs. Daughtry was a nurse’s aide, retiring with 20 years of service. She was a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church.
Survivors include her five children, James Glenn Daughtry and wife Hellen of Morgan, Ernest Wyley Daughtry and wife Brenda of Cleburne, David Dwight Daughtry and wife Holly of Ft. Worth, Lillie Leann Fugate and husband Rick of Ft. Worth, and Jimmy C. Daughtry of Burleson; 14 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings.
